About
Why this quiz exists
After 15 years in SEO and two master's degrees — one in Journalism, one in Business with a focus on data analytics — I decided to take a career quiz for inspiration.
My top result? Zoo educator.
To be fair, I would genuinely love being a zoo educator. But it wasn't exactly what I had in mind, and my résumé wasn't going to get me there anytime soon.
The experience stuck with me, though — not because the result was wrong, but because the quiz didn't know enough about me to be right. It had no idea what I'd studied, what I earned, where I lived, or whether the field was even hiring. It matched my personality and called it a day.
I felt like there had to be a better way. So I built BestCareerFor.Me.
Like most career tools, it uses the Holland Code interest framework to understand what kind of work energizes you. But it also factors in your education, your experience, your salary needs, local job demand, how much you want to work with people, and the risk of AI disruption in your field — because a career that fits your personality but not your life isn't really a fit at all.
I hope you find it useful. And whether you do or you don't, I'd love to hear about it — I'm working to make it better all the time.
